January 2008, 250 millions km run by railways axles

This is the mileage run until to-day by axles whose a bearing journal have been plated by a DALIC nickel coating to put it back within the dimensional  tolerance. Each month about 1,7 millions kms are run. Those axles are operated by SNCF for high speed train and in South Africa, India and Australia for heavy trains. The metallurgical properties of the Nickel provide a significant improvement behaviour vs fretting and increase the lifetime of the axle.
